Trapezoidal Kevlar Belt for Maxi Scooters
The KEVLAR BELT technology aimed at racing scooters gives birth to the Malossi trapezoidal toothed belts for MAXI SCOOTERS. KEVLAR BELTS were created to ensure the highest operating smoothness and reliability by using special compounds and KEVLAR fibre reinforcing inserts. The KEVLAR BELT design comes from a special arrangement of the fibres within the belt itself:
- To give a higher consistency to the belt's resistance to TRACTION the ultimate strength was calculated in an over-dimensioned situation with respect to normal operation
- To give a higher consistency to the belt's resistance to COMPRESSION, KEVLAR small bars have been inserted in the belt transversally
Moreover, a special vulcanization technology has been used to compact this fibre and texture aggregate in order to allow KEVLAR BELT to stand a high thermal and mechanic stress load.
